What Monel Are
Monel is a family of nickel-copper alloys (approximately 67% Ni, 30% Cu) developed for service in highly corrosive environments — particularly hydrofluoric acid (HF), seawater, and reducing acids. The most common grades are Monel 400 (UNS N04400) and the precipitation-hardened Monel K-500 (UNS N05500).
