Roben is a key player in the design and construction of heat exchangers for LNG re-gasification plants. There are numerous methods for the re-gasification of LNG and the selection of an optimum process depends on plant site,climate and environmental concerns.
The engineers in Roben's thermal design department have over thirty (30) years experience designing shell and tube vaporizers (STV) to re-gasify LNG. The theoretical procedures have been modified using actual plant data and predict field performance very well.
Whether you need a single small STV (with 3000 ft2 of surface area) for peak shaving purposes or a large STV for a five million metric tons per annum (5 MMTPA) base loading plant (consisting of five STVs each with 12,000 fts of surface area), Roben's in-house engineers can thermally and mechanically custom design to your exact specifications.
All of your requirements such as varying LNG compositions, operating pressure ranges (including sub and supercritical) and turn-down will be addressed to achieve the most economical and dependable STV. We typicaly use as the heating medium glycol/water, methanol/water, sea water and plain water. Our designs eliminate, as far as possible, icing under all operating conditions.
Our production manager has had  over thirty (30) years experience in fabricating LNG STVs an is an  expert in all phases of shop operations required to manufacture LNG vaporizers.
